Lauren Bacall

Quintessential Style Magazine is my favorite publications. I love the fact that they juxtapose pictures of current styles with those of the "glamour years". Each cover features one of the ladies of "old Hollywood" which usually includes some facts about that persons life along with wonderful black and white pictures. The pictures included here are from the Spring 2008 issue. The story was written by columnist Liz Smith. I thought this to be a good follow-up to the Oscar pictures. As usual, Lauren is sultry and smoldering. The dress that she is wearing in the picture with Gregory Peck, is absolutely exquisite! It is from the movie "Designing Woman" and her name was "Marilla" which suitably fit her character. In the "family picture" with their son Stephen, I love her bracelets and her ring. Such class! Of course she was one of those women that could make any outfit look great.
