Beautiful Accessories from MIMCO

Founded in 1996 by Amanda Briskin, Mimco is now firmly staked in the fashion industry as Australia's leading accessory brand. In 2000 Mimco was picked by key department stores and boutiques worldwide and the brand was being adopted by women around the world. The accessories obsession continued to grow with key players sitting up to take interest. From a Mimoco bag being seen on Sex and The City to providing the delegate bag at New York Fashion Week-Mimco was interpreting the fashion accessories industry in it's own style. Today Mimco s The only brand in Australia to effectively cross so many departments in fashion accessories totaling five categories: bags, Jewelry, Hair, accessories and Knitwear. Having recently opened it's 16th retail boutique in Melbourne's Chadstone, the southern hemisphere's leading shopping center-Mimco plans to roll out unique boutique environments that invite the customer in to experience and explore. No two stores are designed the same-each has it's own character and warmth. The retail boutiques also allow for smaller depths of limited edition products to fill the shelves. In August 2004, Mimco joined forces with Australia's leading fashion designers as a part of David Jones' exclusive lineup. Mimco was appointed as the sole Australian fashion accessory brand within the prestigious group, allowing a stylish, specific space where women can experiment and play with delicate jewels and divine bags. I can certainly understand why this brand has gained so much popularity.....their bags are unique as well as the time and attention given to detail. The jewelry designs are also a standout, as the pieces are eye catching, unusual and eclectic.

"Strappy"

Strappy" is the name of this BEAUTIFUL bag designed by twin brothers Shane and Shawn Ward. They made the leap from shoes to handbags last spring with a patent leather shoulder bag in red and black. Now they are preparing to unveil a bigger collection for fall. The expanded Shane & Shawn handbag line which is set to retail from $198 to $455, includes a hobo bag, travel duffle and three styles of messenger bags. The inaugural bag, the "strappy", is inspired by the multistrap gladiator sandals and retails for $425. It is currently available at shaneandshawn.com. (WWD) This has to be one of the hottest bags out right now.....I love the fact that it is detailed with straps and studs. It is available in red or black.....red would be my choice.

"Sketch-a-Shoe"

Aleandra Neel
Bruno Frisoni

Beverly Feldman

Casadei

Francesa Mambrini

Maloles

Nicole Brundage

Pollini

Ruthie Davis

Tia March

Featured are sketches of shoes due to come out in spring 2010. I chose those I thought to be the most unique and not "clones" of this season's collections. My personal favorites are the Alexandra Neel, Beverly Feldman, Casadei, & Nicole Brundage

"Bedazzling Accessories"

1. Zac Posen, Doo Ri, Miu Miu

2. Hermes, 3.1 Phillip Lim & Jean Paul Gaultier

3. Stella McCartney & Christian Louboutin

4. Jean Paul Gaultier & Givenchy

5. Vera Wang & Thakoon necklace and bracelet

6. Valentino, Vera Wang & Lanvin

7. 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander McQueen & Louis Vuitton

8. Alexander McQueen, Derek Lam & Givenchy

9. Dolce and Gabbana & Christian Lacroix

10. Marni & Burberry Prorsum

More unique and unusual accessories for fall 2009. I must say that I actually like the embellished tights, but they have to be worn with just the right outfit and not a whole lot more in the way of accessories to avoid "accessory overload". I don't think I could handle the flight hat either; possibly in an "extreme cold emergency". All the rest are a DO in my book.

The scene is MoMA'S annual party in the garden, where celebrities and the social set mingled as they listened to the sounds of Estelle. Of the pictures featured here, the best looks are those of Estelle performing (the blouse is exquisite), Indre Rockefeller and Shala Monroque (love the shoes). (WWD)
