Collaboration: Jean Paul Gaultier & Melissa

Ever conscious of today's environmental issues, Melissa have collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier to create an exclusive plastic stiletto sandal that is 100 per cent recyclable. With a 10cm chiselled heel which comprises of both opaque and transparent plastics in contrasting straps, the stiletto also features a metal cigarette heel, where the newest technological advances in production have been implemented. To go on sale internationally this June 2010 at a retail price of £160, this is the latest edition of many collaborations that Melissa have embarked on. Before the Parisien couturier, Melissa had worked with the likes of Vivienne Westwood making deliciously feminine strappy shoes with oversized hearts and logos, after collaborating with Zaha Hadid, Judy Blame, and Alexandre Herchcovitch.

Available in black, caramel, beige, lime and tangerine, the shoe will be launched this June.
