Walnuts & Orange Slices As Jewelry?

Yes, when designed by the creative force that is Delfina Delettrez. Check out her creations for Kenzo.

It was a surprise to see them on the fashion runways this past February when Humberto Leon and Carol Lim presented the Kenzo winter collection in Paris.

These "fruity jewels" shaped like walnuts and orange slices came straight from the imagination of Delfina Delettrez who was commissioned by the two designers to create a special capsule collection.

It wasn't just the shape of these fruits but the substance as well. What is surprising is that actual walnuts and real orange slices were dried, encased in resin and placed in truly realistic metallic shells.

Along with the necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, there are also pins that can be used to dress up shoes. These fun pieces add a bit of "coup de théâtre" to the look. The collection is available in Kenzo stores and select specialized boutiques. Prices range from 200 to 600 Euros.
