Established in 2001 in Japan, Marios is the brainchild of Mayo Loizou and Leszek Chmielewski. Currently based in Milan, the designer duo has always sought to combine aesthetic and functionality by reinterpreting wardrobe staples.

For next SS 2013 Marios has developed a collection entitled Cover to Uncover: covering the body with see-through fabrics so as, ultimately, leave it uncovered; covering fabrics with prints to unveil a new identity.

Colours are inspired by Tupperware, the well-known plastic containers. Among fabrics are jersey, organdie, satin, waxed jersey and gabardine.

While among the key items of the collection are skirts with blue and white sailor stripe pattern featuring two different types of pleating and the midi skirt with Tire print designed by artist Tommaso Garner with Soleil pleating creating an optical effect.
