13 Nail Looks to Try This Fall?

Whether your preference is "clean" and minimal, or bold and sassy, here are some looks to consider.

TURBID BLUE

50 Shades of Grey is so last season. This fall, it's all about cloudy blue-grey..

Manicurists backstage at Nicole Miller use Butter London nail lacquers to recreate a marbled nail meets paint splatter. Have fun with your nail art and use contrasting paints for nails that make an impact.

VIOLACEOUS LACQUER

Copy the models from Monique L'huiller Fall '15 show and think:deep purple, violets and plums. Apply two coats to oval-shaped nails and finish with a high shine top coat.

PAINTERLY STROKES

Tap into your artistic side by adding painterly brush strokes over a clear mani like the models at Tadashi Shoji.

TOUCH OF SPARKLE

Mani's this season are all about the little details. We love the zipper detail and hint of sparkle on this black mani from Tanya Taylor AW '15.

MAKE 'EM MATTE

If black nail polish is a little too goth for you, lighten the mood with a dark matte polish with a subtle shimmer. It's polished and a little mysterious. For an added touch of fun, add a dark strip from the side of each nail.

PRINT CRAZE

Upgrade a basic manicure with something fresh like chevron.

METALLIC ACCENTS

Not a fan of extreme nail art? Keep is simple and add a metallic appliqué to your ring finger for an added touch of sass.

CRÈME DE LA CRÈME

Cream polish is evergreen. Apply to oval shaped nails and finish with a shiny top coat. Instant classic.

PAINT THE RAINBOW

Can't decide on one color? Don't sweat it— choose them all! Though, you may need to ask your manicurist to do this for you.

MANI AND A MOVIE

Cinema buffs, why not have your manicurist recreat a reel on your nails? Opt for black and white or go neon for a cool twist.

LIFE IN THE FAST LANE

Racer stripes add a cool girl vibe to a any mani. Using a thin bristled brush paint stripes own the side of your nails.

COLOR BLOCK COALITION

Negative Space lost it's negative to the rainbow. Break up a color-block mani with horizontal rainbow stripes.
